Canada Council for the Arts & Canadian Heritage budgets are at risk!

As a member organization, MANO is proud to join the Canadian Arts Coalition to fight for the arts at a time when Canada needs it most.

The Federal Government had promised to invest in Canada’s cultural institutions during the 2025 election campaign, but now is asking those same funders to look at a devastating 15% cut to their budgets. There are over 850,000 cultural workers across Canada, and most of us live in financial precarity.

In difficult times, we need to ensure the arts are our leaders to show us show us the future we can make together in Canada. We urge all MANO members and supporters to visit the Campaign for Culture website to add your voice to this important letter-writing campaign before September 22. Better yet, take a minute and do it now!
